Printer Communications

Computers and their peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners, etc., communicate with each other using a variety of different communication methods.   Cognitive’s Del Sol LX offers the following communication connectivity ports. 

Ethernet:  Easy Ethernet e+Solutions™

Cognitive’s Advantage LX and Del Sol LX are available with a built-in Ethernet port for plug and play installation. Ethernet printers are the ideal choice for on-demand label printing in networks of all sizes. The advantages are:

  • Receive E-Mail printer alerts on cell phones, pagers, PDAs or workstations
  • Quickly upload firmware
  • Easily correct printer errors
  • Control printers on a wired or wireless network
  • View database reports with detailed information about e+Solutions printers
  • Filter and sort large numbers of printers

Serial & Parallel*: 
Serial and Parallel connections are available on most systems, including older printers.  For integration into existing systems with legacy hardware, you can usually rely on serial and parallel connections when network and USB hardware are unavailable.
